About Patricia

PATRICIA PATTERSON is a Mexican-American writer and editor based in North Carolina. She received an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she served as a fiction editor for The Greensboro Review.

Her fiction is featured or forthcoming in PANK, Baltimore Review, Indiana Review, and elsewhere. Patricia is the winner of Porter House Review's 2021 Editor's Prize in Fiction, selected by Yiyun Li.

Patricia writes about history, the bond of family, and hope that persists despite darkness. When she isn’t writing, you can find Patricia with a paintbrush or a tool in hand, crafting something new, or spending time with family donde la vida comienza y el amor nunca termina.
